This is a tutorial on how to measure your western saddle for the correct stirrup and fender length. I like to start by measuring your inseam, it is best to measure with your riding boots on. This gives the best representation of your natural riding length. I have a table of stirrup lengths and corresponding fender lengths that i have used over the years to get the best fit for your custom saddle. It is also helpful to take measurements of the fender on a current saddle as long as it is a good fit for you.
